Chandigarh Administration Extends Deadline For Class XI Online Admission Fee

In view of the requests received from various sides, the Chandigarh administration on Friday extended the deadline for submitting online admission fees for all streams of class XI, which was initially notified on August 23.

The date has now been extended to August 28 at 11:59 p.m. Students who have been assigned seats at the first online council must deposit their fees by this date as failure to meet this date will result in the loss of their claim on one of the Class XI public school seats in the union territory, Chandigarh, in the year 2022-23, according to a statement issued by the administration.

A total of 19,089 students applied for admission, of which 4,523 science students, 2,763 business students, 10,437 humanities students and 1,366 students opted for specialized courses. In the first consultation, out of a total of 14,682 places, 3,557 are for science, 2,263 for commerce, 7,638 for humanities and 1,224 for specialist courses.

The remaining seats as well as seats that became vacant due to non-filing of fees by August 28 will be filled during the second consultation in a few weeks.

Centralized College Admissions Process

In addition, the centralized admissions process for the city’s government and subsidized colleges was completed on Thursday. From now on, vacancies in the college will be filled by the college at its own level. Colleges have generated their own Google form to assess applicants’ readiness for admission against open seats. Only candidates can apply through the Google form, who have already applied on the online admission portal (

Education Secretary Purva Garg reviewed the admissions process of each college and collected the data on vacancies of each college. She also led the admissions committee to ensure a hassle-free admissions process for vacant seats. All information regarding vacancies is uploaded to the admissions portal.
