‘First In Class’ launches free education platform for 1,00,000 families of martyrs at 2022 Rotary Presidential Conference

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 2 (ANI/First In Class, an Edu-tech company): Edutech platform First In Class has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Rotary India Literacy Mission (RILM) to create the largest free edutech initiative in India and the the world . One Lakh (1,00,000) tablet PCs will be distributed for free. All tablets will be loaded with fully functional online learning platforms, also free, provided by First In Class.
This is done to mark the occasion of 75th Independence Year of India – Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. The MoU was signed during the Rotary India 2022 International Presidential Conference being held this morning in Hyderabad.
The driving force behind First In Class is “everything for learning, learning for everyone”. India’s first and only edu-tech platform in which the cause of social justice is the core value. It is the kind of positive, pioneering disruption and pioneering effort that can truly revolutionize the way edutech is delivered, perceived and implemented in India.
First In Class will provide high quality K-12 content in line with CBSE-NCERT curricula. In a notable first, classes will be available in Hindi, English, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, Punjabi and 6 other regional languages ​​to facilitate inclusion, access and native language learning. More than 10,000 hours of audio-visual and GUI content will be part of the course libraries. This will be linked to interactive tests and assessment nodules. Classes will be facilitated by live teaching. A special ongoing review platform for parents to track the progress of their services will be available in a friendly user interface format.
Cultural learning, language learning, language training and spiritual learning modules will also be available through the First In Class platform. For higher education, entrance test modules and specialization in UPSC, law and engineering are also offered.

The MoU was signed today between RILM Chairman Kamal Sanghvi and iTV Network Founder Kartikeya Sharma.
“The course is structured and organized by some of the best educators in the country in line with the CBSE NCERT curriculum. Above all, it is offered in Hindi, English and many regional languages ​​to ensure inclusiveness and mother tongue learning. This is all the result of years of research and hard work to create content using the latest teaching techniques to ensure that students benefit from holistic learning,” said Kartikeya Sharma, Founder, iTV Network.

“The government is keen to promote digital learning. In this context, RILM has already entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with NCERT to provide e-learning content. Vocational Education, First In Class in collaboration with RILM to create content for vocational education for upper grades,” said Kamal Sanghvi, President of RILM earlier.
“It is our way of saluting our martyrs in the 75th year of independence. Although it is impossible to fulfill our debt to those who sacrificed their lives, it is our tribute. We are working on learning by online in India for 10 years, reaching thousands of schools offering world-class audio-visual content,” said Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta during the mission proclamation earlier this year.
Member of Parliament and Rotarian Vivek Tankha said ahead of the event “What is done today, the world will remember. This MoU is an organized effort to tell the world of Rotary and companies that we are ready to educate a deserving lakh children”.
First in Class was founded by Dr. Aishwarya Pandit. She graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in History from Miranda House, University of Delhi, in 2008. Later, she pursued an MA in History of International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science, London in 2008 and 2009. Assistant Professor Teaching Legal History at Jindal Global Law School, OP Jindal Global University, Dr. Pandit is the tour de force of First In Class academic initiatives.
She taught two courses as visiting professor at Indian Institute of Management, Indore in 2016-2017. She is also a guest columnist for The Sunday Guardian newspaper. Recently, her book Claiming Citizenship and Nation: Muslims Politics in North India 1947-1986 was published by Routledge and she is currently working on a book called Emergency: The Making of an Opposition, Harper Collins (to be published in 2022).
