Jordan Brand announces 20-year partnership with Howard University

Jordan Brand announced a 20-year partnership with Howard University, one of the nation’s leading historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

“Howard University and Jordan Brand share a heritage of excellence and a deep commitment to the Black community. As an HBCU graduate, I understand the educational impact of an institution like Howard University. associate with Howard University and see the growth of black talent on the court and far beyond,” said Craig Williams, President of the Jordan Brand.

“We have always been proud of our heritage at Howard University, but we are bold enough to believe that our future could be brighter than our past. The partnership with Jordan Brand is another signal of our ambitions as a university. to become an even brighter beacon for black excellence. We are excited to work together on this vision of greatness,” said Dr. Wayne A.I. Frederick, president of Howard University.

The Nike subsidiary will unveil the program’s first Jumpman uniforms on August 27.

“This partnership amplifies the culture of champions we’re building at Howard,” said Howard University athletic director Kery Davis. “After winning multiple MEAC championships last year, we’re ready to continue with Jordan Brand on our side.”

Beyond excellence on and off the field, Jordan Brand also aims to open up new recruiting opportunities that simultaneously enhance athletic and academic experiences.

“HBCUs have impacted the culture from the beginning. We now see a new era on the horizon and an opportunity with Jordan Brand to introduce Howard University to the world. I am thrilled to see our university collaborating with a partner like Jordan Brand who already means so much to the black community.
