JAMMU, December 19: Requiring an online exam for all PG courses, NSUI Jammu and Kashmir staged a protest against the University of Jammu here today.
Led by UT NSUI President Sunny Parihar, NSUI activists and students gathered at the gate of Jammu University’s main campus and demonstrated. Protesters waved a slogan in support of their demand and also burned the effigy of the Jammu University administration.
While speaking, Parihar said that DDE students have repeatedly approached the Exam Controller and DDE Director of the University of Jammu to take an online exam.
Parihar said the exam controller promised earlier that the exam would be conducted in online mode for all PG courses, but unfortunately the university administration backed down by notifying the exam mode out. line.
Sunny Parihar said that the students at Jammu University had not received any study materials and that many of the students were coming from containment areas, adding that the university administration was ignoring the real demand from the students of the DDE.
He asked Chancellor Jammu University and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to step in and order the University of Jammu administration to conduct an online exam for DDE students for this particular session and to repeat yesterday’s exam in the interest of the students.
Among others in attendance were Nishant Gupta, Sourav Verma, Nipun Gandhi, Manas Gandhi, Garry, Ramandeep, Muskaan, Surinder, etc.
