The funding will fuel the international expansion and development of the platform’s services as it progresses in its mission to simplify discovery for tutors and students.
TAIPEI, TAIWAN – February 18, 2022 – AmazingTalker, a Taiwan-based global platform designed to help students find private tutors of languages (such as online Korean tutors) and other subjects, including math, has received $15.5 million in Series A funding. The round was led by CDIB Capital, with participation from JAFCO Asia and 500 Global.

Over the past five years, AmazingTalker has achieved an annual revenue growth rate of nearly 500%, with 60% of revenue coming from overseas. To date, it has approximately 8,000 registered tutors and 1.1 million registered users, and has recorded 5.5 million online class bookings.
Launched in 2017, AmazingTalker aims to facilitate learning through technology. It uses algorithms to match students and tutors accurately and efficiently in seconds. It provides an interactive learning environment that promotes teacher and learner independence. Students can communicate their needs directly to potential tutors without binding contracts or long-term payment obligations.
From a tutor’s perspective, the platform expands the pool of potential customers, and the core value is to allow them to maximize their earning potential by setting their fees independently. It also generates insights through the analysis of user behavior data to help tutors continuously improve the quality of their teaching services.
AmazingTalker plans to use the latest investment to expand its business in Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, Europe and North America. It currently serves more than one million people in 190 countries in Europe, the Americas and Asia. It will also channel funds to recruit global talent and increase the number of international users.

So far, AmazingTalker has received more than 15 million funding from investors, including CDIB Capital, JAFCO Asia, 500 Global and SparkLabs Taipei.
