Filipinos generally enjoy shopping, whether online or spending time in grocery stores and malls.

Some of the top items that Filipinos purchase from grocery stores are food and non-alcoholic beverages, while the second largest purchase by Filipinos are miscellaneous goods and services which contribute about 8.4% of total household expenditure. This includes items and services that are not food and non-alcoholic beverages, including home care items and beauty products.

Grocery shopping may be an ordinary errand for some, however, there are Filipinos who do not share the privilege of being able to shop for household essentials on a regular basis. Some have to sacrifice or earn a lot just to buy “daily essentials”.

That’s why a consumer goods company wants to help and reach out to Filipinos who need help. To share hope with families in need of basic necessities and young Filipinos who are out of school due to lack of money and whose learning experience has been affected by the current health situation , Unilever Philippines launched the Shop2Give Together campaign.

It is Unilever’s desire to share inspiring hope and compassion among Filipinos.

The Shop2Give campaign started in 2018, where most disasters affected Filipinos and young people. The Shop2Give campaign was launched to enable customers to buy Unilever items while giving back.

He has supported millions of out-of-school children, helped UNICEF’s Alternative Learning System (ALS) education program, and built houses for families who have lost their homes with the help of Gawad Kalinga.
