The University of Troy is offering two free four-week online courses from July 11 to August 8


TROY online courses have been rated among the best in the country by US News and World Report. The University is known for emphasizing the importance of developing strong leaders and its leadership program is one of the best in the country. Beginning 11 July, TROY will offer a free four-week online course titled Introduction to leadership. This course presents a rare opportunity for participants to learn how to lead from a holistic perspective while incorporating self-assessment to better understand how to lead effectively.

“We believe that universities are responsible for developing the leaders of tomorrow, and this is a commitment we do not take lightly,” said Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr., Chancellor. “Our mission is to develop leaders well equipped to meet the challenges of today’s world. These two free courses are a great introduction to all that we offer at University of Troy while giving participants the chance to learn valuable life skills.”

New for 2022, TROY offers a free personal finance course called Your Life, Your Success – Money Management and Financial Wellness, which is designed to give students insight into financial principles that will help them succeed. Students will learn about budgeting, tax filing, different types of loans and insurance products, and an overview of investment options. This course will be offered in two parts starting 11 July: a general public and a young adult.

Classes are open to everyone and do not require registration. TROY to participate. Participants who register for University of Troy can earn three credit hours for each course as a general elective or minor course. Courses last four weeks and end on August 8. To earn academic credit, students must pass a challenge exam at the end of class. Running TROY participating students must have less than 15 college credit hours to receive academic credit for passing the challenge exam. Register at:
