Young footballers warned against doping in sport

Young Monegasque athletes recently took part in educational workshops on the issue of doping in sport. The Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee organized several sessions in small groups at La Diagonale for young Monegasque footballers.

The U17, U19 and N2 players were able to benefit from the advice of Doctor Muriel Alessio, Dominique Lucas and Jeremy Bottin. The participants were made aware of the dangers of doping for their health and their career, in the event of a positive test.

On the program of these sessions, the highlighting of the anti-doping rules and the examination of the latest news concerning several professional footballers recently suspended. The objective of the sessions is to protect today’s young athletes and to protect the ethics of sport.

Each season, the La Diagonale medical service, orchestrated by Régis Coudert and Maxime Feller, puts young people in touch with the Monegasque Anti-Doping Committee in order to prevent, discuss and inform young athletes.
